Prospects Comments
NFL - Likely be the biggest boom-or-bust quarterback prospect in the draft. Allen's size and arm talent are prototypical for early first-round picks, but it's rare to find a quarterback with such a low college completion rate become a successful pro. Allen's receivers struggled to separate, but there were plenty of times where his lack of anticipation and post-snap plan did him in. Allen can make some truly special throws, but his ability to improve the mental part of his game will determine whether he's a good NFL starter or just another big, strong-armed guy.
DLF - Combine review.  Of the five quarterbacks making up the top tier, it was Wyoming’s Josh Allen who was the biggest beneficiary of the NFL Combine. Not only did Allen get to show off his massive arm strength, but he was also reportedly very impressive in interviews. Although fantasy players seem to have major concerns about Allen and his poor completion percentage, he is still projected to be a top NFL Draft pick, though our rankers and ADP mock drafters place him fifth among this group.
CBS - Elite arm strength. Matt Stafford-esque. Plus mobility. Inconsistent accuracy and decision-making. Often over-extends plays which gets him into big trouble. Has All-Pro and UDFA flashes. Likely Top 15 pick mainly due to his physical traits.
DLF - ROOKIE DRAFT ADVICE    I recently passed on Allen at 3.08 and 4.03 in favor of Jaylen Samuels and Mark Walton, respectively. This isn’t to say he is undraftable in one-QB leagues, but I’m not likely to pull the trigger even when the board is nothing but dart throws. In a superflex or two-QB draft, you’re probably going to have to burn a late first to ensure you snag Bills’ rookie. I’d much rather take a shot elsewhere and let another owner gamble the Allen in our universe is the one out of 10 that pans out.
