DLF - My thoughts: Fields doesn’t quite have the same name recognition to the more casual football fan as Lawrence, but to have Fields going basically a whole round afterward seems like a bit much to me. If this holds true, it means that Fields could be a huge value to a fantasy owner with an aging group of quarterbacks on their roster. In terms of his floor, Fields isn’t quite the same “can’t-miss” prospect as Lawrence, but the upside is almost as high.
WF - In 2019, Fields took over as the Buckeyes' starting quarterback and dominated. The sophomore completed 67 percent of his passes on the season for 3,273 yards with 41 touchdowns and three interceptions. He also ran for 484 yards and 10 scores. In Fields' one season at Georgia, he was 27-of-39 for 328 yards with four touchdowns passing and four touchdowns rushing.
NFL - He was inconsistent (in 2020), but I’m not going to hold it against him. We teach (quarterbacks) to read coverages and concepts, but they need to have innate leadership and poise, and we have to determine if he has those qualities." -- Personnel executive for NFL team
