ADP's, Roster cuts

ADP's - (2015) -- New player order for the draft final roster players are listed in order as of September, 2015 ADP's(ex. 2015 final rosters / September 2015 ADP's) from DynastyLeagueFootball.com. Players on IR or Practice Squad if kept will be put in ADP order. Players with a 0.00 ADP will be put in order by NFL points scored the previous season. If there is a tie, players are put in order by QB, RB, WR, TE, K and D/ST. Before the protect list is due if a roster is under 20, all players will be moved up the draft board and open the lower rounds in the draft by as many rounds as the roster is under 20. Protect lists: Players not protected will open that round in the following August draft. No longer will protected players be all moved to the top of the team's draft, after protect lists are completed. Traded players will keep their ADP's and be slotted on the draft board in the ADP order with the new teams. Drafted/Protected rookies will be placed in rounds 15 - 18 in rookie ADP order. Rookies not protected will open the round for the season draft. Some items will again be listed in the DRAFT section. 2018 - bs - ADP's after the protect list is completed, players will not be used to slot players to a ADP round. Players are put in ADP order by your teams roster. Un-protected players open the round they are in. No other players move.

Roster cuts to 20 / Pre-Mini Camp: Starting in 2022, the cut to 20 will no longer be used. A date will be set by the leagus when the protect list will be used. A week will be set and end one week before Mini Camp starts, and all teams must make roster waivers for all players over the 20 player limit. Players can be cut from the starting lineup, reserve, IR or practice squad(old taxi squad). Early Sunday after the cut deadline date, teams over the 21 player limit will have players on the draft board below round 20, cut by the league to get to the roster limit of 20. Order will be lowest player on the draft board and work up until 20 players are legally rostered. Teams will be notified by the league of any roster moves. A starting lineup must be included in the final 20 (2009). 1 drafted rookie can be placed on the practice squad and rosters can be at 20 with a drafted rookie placed on the practice squad. see Rookie Draft or Protect List

PROTECT LIST (Turk Week): Note - CBS: For keepers chosen by individual team managers, they must check off the appropriate boxes and click the set lineup in the top right-hand corner of their roster page in order to lock in the keeper selections. The system will automatically process keepers after midnight (10:59pm CST) on the date set by the league. All players not secured by the process described above will be returned to the player pool. Protected players will come from the roster, practice squad and IR list. Teams D/ST can be protected, they cannot be split. There is 20/21player limit on protections. Up to 7 players will be free then after will be an amount set by the league for each player over 7 ($5.00 per player). At no time can this protect list exceed 21 players. The roster/keeper page on CBS will be used. List will be posted on the next day by CBS. Protect list is due by 10:59pm CST (12am EST) on a date set by the league. Each owner will set the protect list for their teams. Not the league. If chages are made on the protect list before the deadline you must use the SET LINEUP button, top right, or it will not record your change. You must do this each time. 2021 - 1 team drafted rookie will be allowed to be placed on the practice squad and count towards the 7 player limit of free protect players. All protect list player cuts will not count towards the yearly limit of 54 moves. One drafted rookie placed on the Practice squad needs to be placed on the PS before the due date to open that round for drafting. IF not, move will be made after the season draft is complete. Rosters will be frozen after the protect list is complete and IR and practice squad moves. Rounds will open as unprotected players are removed. Players that are below slot 20, on the draft board, will be moved up and end at round 20. Then the selected Practice Squad rookie and IR / PUP players will be moved to the PS / IR lists, opening that round for the draft.

From CBS: What is the time of the keeper policy deadline? If your league's keeper policy leaves the selection(s) as the individual owner's responsibility, team owners will have until 11:59 PM ET (10:59 CT, 9:59 MT, 8:59 PT) on the designated date to select their keepers. Any player not designated as a keeper will be returned to the player pool between midnight and 6 AM ET the next morning. Rosters are frozen for 1 week (draft prep week) until draft day.

Draft Prep Week - (2022) Will be a date set by the league after a minimum of two preseason games have been played and protect lists have been completed, trying to have at least 5 days to prepare for the season draft. As of now Labor Day we will try to be avoided. During Draft prep week, Rosters are frozen until the regular season draft is complete. This will be followed by the first add / waiver night before the NFL season begins. Formally - Mini Camp:(2019) Trades are allowed with teams 20 player rosters and future draft picks. Trades can not exceed past 1 year. Traded players will have ADP's moved to their new teams and be slotted in the new roster. This will run for 1 week in August on the dates set by the league. Camp must end at least 1 week before the Draft, to allow teams to prepare for the draft. When camp is over, protect and trade rules apply and rosters are frozen until the draft. DRAFT: 2022 note: If an extension or trade is in progress during a teams pick it should be called into the league on a number provided by the league. A draft will be held to complete the rosters on a date set by the league and be serpentine draft. The draft will be scheduled as close as possible to a day before Labor Day weekend. (2023 again) The order will determined by the Draft Order Program (random draft order). Even rounds will be reverse order of the odd rounds and continue for rounds 2 through 20. A time limit for each pick will be, 3 minutes and teams will get 3 extensions to aid in trading during the draft. We will continue until rosters are filled to the league limits. A complete starting lineup must be drafted and the rest filled by team needs. Rosters cannot exceed the league limits on draft day and a player cannot be picked unless an NFL team has rights to that player or a NFL free agent. No college players can be drafted. Player/s can be traded for draft pick/s. Whole defenses and special teams will be drafted. They cannot be split when selecting. A defense and special team will count as 1 player on a roster. Owners will announce their pick and then the pick will be announced and posted on the digital draft board by the PrimeTime program. Owners at the draft can input their pick instead of announcing as the owners who are not present. The draft will also be online for owners who can not attend the draft to be apart of the draft. If an owner is unable to attend or be online, he will be allowed to select players after the draft to complete his roster. You can submit a list and must be sent to the secretary before pickup night begins. No players can be waived. If not before pickup night, pickup night rules will be followed and the owner must submit his picks on the league site. A list can be given to another owner, as the last option. Other options are available for draft day, to make your selections for you but, with no guarantee's. League fees are to be paid at the draft. Cut list will be due earlier than in the past to get draft board ready to select Keeper's. (2022) There will only be a protect list date set by the league. Players on IR or Practice Squad if kept will be put in ADP order. Players with a 0.00 ADP will be put in order by NFL points scored the previous season. If a point tie, they will be placed in position order. QB,RB,WR,TE,K,D/ST. Players not protected will open that round in the following August draft. No longer will protected players be all moved to the top of the teams draft. Traded players, prior to the draft, will keep their ADP's and be slotted on the draft board in the ADP order with the new teams. Each team will receive 3 extensions during the draft to allow for trades. (3 minutes each). 2023 - Draft order will be determined by the Draft Order Program and announced at the year end meeting. NEW: Players maybe placed on a teams PUP list after NFL teams make their cuts to 53. This would be after the 3rd preseason game and after the FFL89 protect list is due. This could then free up the draft slot for the draft. Suspended players would have to be placed on the PS list after the cuts to 53 players. Players who will be put on IR (either IR out for the year or after cuts to the 53 man roster) can only be put on IR, days before the FFL89 season draft to free up the roster spot. The moves would be NC (no charge) (2023) If players are placed on the PUP list they maybe placed on the FFL89 IR/PUP list before the season draft. This would then free up the draft slot for the team in the season draft. The day of the draft (after draft board is posted rosters will be frozen until after the season draft is completed. Add/drop night will begin the following week on CBS.

In 2018, all owners will have a choice to be marked as online drafting if at the live draft and online drafting will be marked as online. The only one that will not be marked will be the main draft board. This controls the entire draft output. Each owner will select their own players when their time to select is running. So, at the live draft bring your computer, ipad or cell phone. They will all work. If at the live draft and not marked as online, owners will announce their selections,

Draft in 2023 - Rookie draft - linear - Picks 1-4 will be determined by the regular season finish. lowest 4 teams. 5th pick TBowl loser, 6th pick TBowl winner. Reworded (12-21-23) - Picks 1-4 will be determined by the Toilet Bowl losing teams and be put in season order finish. Worst to best of the four losing teams The 5th pick will be Toilet Bowl loser and 6th pick will be the TB winner. Team order for 7 - 12 will be determined by the elimination order just like the NFL. Playoff tie breakers will be used to break ties. Season draft - serpentine - Draft order will be determined by the Draft order program at the year end banquet. Order for the program will be worst to best record for the amount of lotto balls a team receives before the program begins. Lotto balls will be 12 to 1.

Draft Board Setup: A digital draft board program will be used from PrimeTimeDraft. The dimensions of the board, free standing screen, are approx. 77" diagonally, 67" wide 37 1/2" high. This will be positioned in the best spot for all owners to view. A digital projector will be used to project the draft board display. The rookie or season draft board will be the same setup or projected from the computer to a large screen TV. Teams will be placed in draft order, 1 - 12. The secretary will be in charge of draft board maintenance, setup and bring to the draft ready to go. 2020 - Due to the COVID virus, both rookie and season drafts will be online and will continue until it is safe to have live drafts again.
