2007
The season began at the Elmhurst Public House with the draft. Ed Hayes, Schrutes, took over MGD and Towering Inferno, David Speedwell and Matt Cunningham, for the Bulldogs. For the draft, a new draft setup, no trades after week 11 and tie breakers for the Championship and Toilet Bowl will be total reserve points. Cbssportsline will handle the add/drops and trades. The division winners were, E-Strange Brew, C-Texans and W-Bruise Brothers. Owner of the year - Texans, MVP - Tom Brady and Rookie of the year Adrian Peterson. SB XVIII winner was the Beer Guzzling Idiots. The banquet was also at the EPH and plans for the 20th season are underway. At the banquet new FFL89 HOF elected Michael Irvin and Marshall Faulk. There are now 21 players and one FFL owner, Donald Mueller, in the FFL89 HOF.

2008 -  20th Season
The 20th draft began with Marc Lucente, Florida, and David working. Red, White and Blue dropped out and Mark Stasch took over and renamed the team Shamrocks. The league now has 15 owners with Michael Lucente joining brother Marc, Warthogs. The draft was held at Mancini's in Berkley (new owners and name). A permanent draft board was made and will be used for now and many years to come. We drafted for 10 rounds and took a break for more pizza and beer. First drafted, Schrutes, Frank Gore, RB SF 49ers and last was Lynx, Jason Hanson, PK Detroit. Rule changes were, added more pickup nights(1 to 3), owners protected own players on CBS in set lineups and Super Bowl rosters are increased from 18 to 20. Division winners: E-Strange Brew, C-Warthogs and W-Young Guns. MVP: D. Williams and D. Brees. OOTY: Strange Brew.  ROTY: M. Forte. Champions: Warthogs and TB: Shamrocks. Nice Idea 20 years ago. In 2008, at Christmas time an original owner, Paul Hobe, passed away. He partnered with Bob Stratton. He was part of the S&H Titans from 1989-1990.

2009
The protected players are in and a record 101 players were protected. A owners meeting will be held before the draft and draft will follow. The draft will be held at the Village Pub, 10th and Cermak in North Riverside. Rule changes are, 1 point for 20 yards receiving, new draft serpentine will now be from rounds 1-18, draft order for 6-12 will be as to when eliminated in the playoffs and 3 or more teams, non division, will use H/H between teams involved. Three owners missing and they were David, Marc L. and Mike L. Italian beef, Sausage and peppers was the right touch. The Pub had more than enough room for the draft. No owner changes for 2009. Schrutes are now Cardiac Kids. The Division winners were East- Lynx, Central- Warthogs and West Young Guns. The three Central teams JP Neil, Texans and Towering Inferno made it to the Championship, The Toilet Bowl teams are Strange Brew, Sticky Fingers, Bruise Brothers, Shamrocks, Cardiac Kids and Beer Guzzling Idiots. League champs, Lynx, second was Young Guns and Towering Inferno beat JP Neil for 3rd place. BGI beat Sticky Fingers for the Toilet Bowl. The FFL89.com will no longer be on mysite.com. Too many problems, so we've moved to a new host, ipage. With a new site building program,Web Page Maker, the site will be ready for the 2010 season. A temp site will be hosted on ipage for Super Bowl XX. The SB XX scoring will now be handled by Ed S. on a google site. Also the FFL89.com is now working with the help of Mark S. and pizza Mike. The site still needs work but it's online. The banquet was held at Ram's Restaurant in Rosemont. Only two owners were missing, the Ed's. Nice time and most owners went to the Wolves game after. New rules passed were SB roster penalty's, roster limits for mini camp, weekly high winner for the year and a new Super Bowl coordinator, Ed S.

2010
Roster cuts and mini camp is over and the protected player list record didn't last long. 109 players are protected. The draft is completed. Owners missing were: Warthogs, Matt(TI), Ed(CKids). Eats:Italian Beef,Sausage & Peppers and Mostaccolli.Changes were:SB roster submissions, backup plan for a lockout, mini camp trade/keeper policy(to be written). Season is over with seven teams finishing with an 8-6 record and one, by tie breaker went to the Toilet Bowl, Sticky Fingers. Division winners, Strange Brew, Texans and Young Guns. Wilcards were: Shamrocks,Beer Guzzling Idiots and Lynx. Toilet Bowl teams: Sticky Fingers, JP Neil, Bruise Brothers,Cardiac Kids, Warthogs and Towering Inferno. Championship: Texans(2nd Championship)over Young Guns, for third, Shamrocks over Beer Guzzling idiots. Toilet Bowl winner was the Cardiac Kids (2nd Franchise TB).Season is over. Beer Guzzling Idiots won SB XXI, 2nd - Strange Brew and 3rd was Sticky Fingers. The banquet will be held February 27th at the Village Pub. 2010 Season is complete. We ate(great food again), handed out winnings and trophy's and completed the year end business. New FFL89 HOFers are B Favre and M Harrison. New rules for 2011 season will be: league fee's will go up $20.00 per team, players who the NFL have put on PUP will be shown as injured on the CBS site and follow NFL PUP rules. Pickups and waives will now be until week 15 is complete. A slight change in the wording for SB roster penalties. Biggest change is we will now have 4 divisions (North,South,East and West) with 3 teams in each division. 4 division winners and 2 wild cards. The Championship, Toilet Bowl and Super Bowl setups were not changed. Possilbly 2 additional weekly high's. The new divisions will be North: JP Neil, Texans and Young Guns. South: Bruise Brothers, Shamrocks and Sticky Fingers. East: Lynx, Towering Inferno and Beer Guzzling Idiots. West: Warthogs, Cardiac Kids and Strange Brew. The league will start the 2011 season with a + $50.00. Now we get ready for a lockout and maybe a 2011 season.

2011
A team name change for the Cardiac Kids. They will now be called Trash. As of 8/05 Trash has withdrawn from the league. We are now going down the waiting list for a new owner. We have a new owner, George Leedle, and he will take over Trash and rename the team McGibblets. Draft was held at the Village Pub. Great food again. Three teams were not at the draft, BGI, Warthogs and JP Neil. Draft went smooth once again. Already planning changes for the 2012 season, one big change coming for sure. Season begins Sept. 8th. Seasons week 14 is complete. Division winners are: Sticky Fingers, Texans,Beer Guzzling Idiots and Warthogs. Wild Cards are Bruise Brothers and Lynx. Toilet Bowl teams are: McGibblets, Strange Brew,Towering Inferno,Shamrocks,JP Neil and Young Guns. Several position and team records are broken. Some wanted, others not. Champions are the Lynx with Warthogs second. Sticky Fingers beat Beer Guzzling Idiots for third and Strange Brew beat McGibblets for the Toilet Bowl. Awards were: Sticky Finger,OOTY. Cam Newton,ROY and MVP. Super Bowl is won by the NY Giants and JP Neil. Second,Texans and third, Warthogs. Trophy's(ordered from Crown Trophy's in Westchester,Il) and new items needed for the new digital draft board are ready for the season ending banquet, March 4th, at the Village Pub in North Riverside. New rules for the 2012 season are: pickups will begin the week following the draft. A third rules committee member was added. New digital draft board will be used from FanSoft. Will look into possibly changing to NFL.com from CBSsports and a fraction point system for passing, rushing and receiving yards. Championship and Toilet Bowl rings will start in the 2012 season. The Toilet Bowl trophy will be a permanent trophy and passed on to the winner year to year like the Championship trophy.
