Yearly History of FFL89
2014
With the Bruise Brothers leaving, Marc Lucente from the Warthogs, will take over the team and rename the franchise to Lucente's Rule. August deadline for cuts and keepers has passed. There were 104 keepers with 49 players over the five player limit. This means 245.00 will go to the budget for the season and banquet. Keepers ranged from zero, Lucente's Rule, to a high of fifteen for the Lynx. Lucente's Rule will have the first seven picks of the draft with LA Warlords and Towering Inferno with the other two picks to finish the seventh round. Almost all is set for the big Draft one week away. Again it will be at the Village Pub in North Riverside. Food's been ordered and will be Italian Beef, Sausage and Peppers and Mostaccioli. Now the rest of the week will be spent on preparing for the draft. Draft has come to and end. The FanDraft Web work great once we got the bugs out. Not the program but the Draft guy. 112 players were drafted and we finished around 3 o'clock. Everyone left thinking Championship. The league voted before the draft started to have a 13 week schedule and weeks 14-16 would be for the playoffs. No games week 17. It passed by a 7-4 vote. Tuesday starts the add/waives. The season has officially begun. Through week 10, five records were set. Three tied and two new.  Week 5, most points by a team in a game, Shamrocks, 196. Largest defeat Shamrocks 196 - Lucente's Rule 82. 114 points. Week 7, tied, 6 teams with 100+ points. Beer Guzzling Idiots, Lynx, McGibblets, Shamrocks, Towering Inferno, and Lucente's Rule. Week 7 was also Lucente's Rule first win of the season. Week 8 Miami defense scored 35 points which tied a modern record. Previous records points for a defensive TD were double points. Week 9 Warthogs tied a record with it's second tie of the year. Only four weeks left in the regular season. The regular season is now over. Division winners are, Young Guns, Towering Inferno, Shamrocks and McGibblets. Wild Cards, Strange Brew and Lynx. For the Toilet Bowl, Warthogs, Texans, JP Neil, Lucente's Rule, Beer Guzzling Idiots and LA Warlords. McGibblets, Young Guns, Warthogs and Texans are the round 1 week byes. Texans were awarded the Ed Hayes Transaction Award for 2014. The league has a new Champion, Strange Brew defeated Lynx and McGibblets beat the Young Guns. For the second year in a row the Warthogs are the Toilet Bowl champs by defeating the Texans. Next up is the Super Bowl roster deadline on January 1. Super Bowl XXV - Texans 346, JP Neil - 333 and Lynx - 279. Banquet is up next.Had the banquet with 5 owners present and a 6 year old assistant GM, Jacob. Great food and a lot accomplished. New rookie draft to be held in early July, New regular draft with ADP's used and changes how keepers are positioned by rounds. Clarified rules for the Practice Squad and Super Bowl. The 13 week schedule will remain and week 17 will be the highest scoring team gets a weekly high of $40.00. Also added the flex player for the regular season as well as in the playoffs and changed some Special Teams scoring as far as blocked punts, extra points and recoveries. The 2 point conversion will again be used with the passer and receiver both getting 2 points. Rushing 2 points remain the same. Changing the Super Bowl setup to the Fan Duel style tournament. Finally we will be back with CBS to run our fantasy stats. Only days away from the start of the 2015 season.

2015
2015 season will begin on March 10 when the NFL starts the new season. Fandraft software was again purchased for our draft board. Several changes were made and all for the better. FanDraft WEB is again a 5.00 fee and will be used for the rookie draft and regular season draft. The league is now preparing for the Rookie only draft to be held for the first time on July 19 at 12:00 pm. The draft will be held in Stickney, IL and online for owners unable to attend. Yes, food will be served. On 5/20/2015 the Beer Guzzling Idiots will not return and Brian Boston will take over the franchise and be called CA Dreamin'. Brian was with Strange Brew in 2005 and 2006. Minor improvements have been added to aid the league in the upcoming drafts. A 12' HDMI cable for the rookie draft to project the draft board onto a 52" screen. The regular season draft will now have a projection screen.  Dimensions of the screen are approx. 77" diagonally, 67" wide 37 1/2" high and is free standing. This will replace the wood board that was used for the past 3 years. The weight was a huge reason for the change. Seven additional rule changes were posted before the rookie draft. Rosters were increased from 18 to 20, pickups/waives through week 17, protected players from 5 to 7, Super Bowl Fandraft style setup, new rookie draft order rule and pickups until week 17. Failed rule, include free agents in rookie draft. At the live draft, Lynx, JP Neil and Texans. Online in various ways, the rest of the owners. It still went well and will improve were needed. Now the teams prepare for the regular season draft. Eats were 18 hour beef, pasta salad and chips. All in all, the 1st rookie draft went really well, Times maybe changing and as a league, we will too. Next the roster cuts, mini-camp and the big draft. Roster protect list is now complete and there is a week of draft prep and on Sunday, 30th we will have the season draft. The 27th draft has been completed. Ten owners were present with 3 drafting online and one in Las Vegas for a fantasy football draft. Once again FanDraft worked exceptionally well and the new projection screen was great and light weight compared to the old wood draft board. One hundred and twenty six players were selected out of the two hundred and forty rostered players to have been selected. Italian beef and sausage and peppers was set up for the owners. Great food as always. Now teams are preparing for the first pickup/waiver night to start on Tuesday September 1st and also September 8th, to help fine tune their rosters before the start of the NFL's regular season, starting on the 10th. The regular season has come to an end. Championship playoff teams are, BYE - Lucente's Rule and Texans. The other two division winners are West - Warthogs and East CA Dreamin'. Wild Cards were JP Neil and Strange Brew. Toilet Bowl byes are Shamrocks and McGibblets. The schedule for week 14 Toilet Bowl is LA Warlords @ Lynx and Towering Inferno @ Young Guns. LA Warlords set a league record for 1400 points against. Not one anyone wants. Week 1 for the Championship is JP Neil @ CA Dreamin' and Strange Brew @ Warthogs. Season went by too fast. This years Champions is JP Neil. JP defeated Strange Brew and Texans took 3rd by beating Lucente's Rule. LA Warlords ended a tough season by beating the Young Guns for the 12th Toilet Bowl. The trophy will be headed to LA for the next year. Our first week 17,weekly high only, went to Strange Brew, 108 points. Two highlights for the year. Shamrock Mark put a record seven players on IR. Will be tough in August with the cutdown to 20 players. Also Ed, Strange Brew, was in the finals for the fifth straight year. 2011 and 2012, Toilet Bowl and 2013, 2014, 2015 League Championship. Never been done before by any owner. He won one Toilet Bowl (2013) and one Championship (2014). This year the Super Bowl XXVI will be hosted by MyFantasyLeague.com. It's free and saves allot of work by not doing it by hand. Now the league is preparing for the SB, which could be the toughest SB to date to win. FanDuel/DraftKings style rosters and everyone will be picking rosters in every week. Matt C. has informed the league that Towering Inferno will not be returning for the 2016 season. Thanks to Matt for the 9 years and all he has done for the league. The season is now final. SB XXVI champion is the Shamrocks, 2nd - Lynx and 3rd - McGibblets. Last thing to do for 2015 is the banquet on Feb 28, 2016 at the Village Pub.
