The 2012 season has started. The league purchased Fandraft and Fandraft Web for our draft, the digital draft board and draft option for those who can not attend. A new draft board will be made,approx. 4' x 8', from plywood. this will be our new screen for the draft. We tried switching to NFL fantasy but the scoring system did not work with our league setup. So, for the season we have stayed with CBS, our 10th year. Owners were asked if they will be back this year. All teams will be returning. Towering Inferno David Speedwell will be leaving and Matt Soraci will now be Matt Cunningham's partner. Now we are preparing for the roster cutdowns, mini-camp and the 24th draft. Protect lists are complete with 104 players protected and 270.00 for players kept over 5. Draft  is next Sunday August 26th. The 24th draft is here and gone. The Plywooodtron draft board worked well but needs some minor changes for the 25th draft. Work has started. The draft, food and drink was great. The Fandraft program and web work better than I had hoped. CBS and FFL89 were updated on the same day as the draft. Pickups and waives begin Tuesday and the the season begins the following week, Sept. 5th. After the draft we found a new fantasy web host, MyFantasyLeague.com. The site will probably be our new host for 2013. It works together with Fandraft. While at the draft we can upload our draft to MFL. We spent the year making sure it worked for us and getting out some minor bugs. The season is over and playoffs have begun. Also an big improvement is our Super Bowl can be on MFL site and eliminate alot of work that had been done in the past. We will have live updated scoring. No more manual input other than the rosters. Should work perfect for our SB setup. Division Winners were, Sticky Fingers, JP Neil,Lynx and Warthogs. Wild cards: Shamrocks and Towering Inferno. Almost the same Championship games as 2011. Championship- Warthogs @ Lynx, 3rd place- JP Neil @ Sticky Fingers and the Toilet Bowl- Young Guns @ Strange Brew. Warthogs win the Championship over Lynx, JP Neil beats Sticky Fingers for third place. Strange Brew lost to Young Guns for their fist TB Championship. Top 3 for the Super Bowl were Sticky Fingers, McGibblets and Lynx.The 2012 season has now ended. The banquet was held at Hillgrove Wine Cellar in Western Springs. Eight teams were represented with Warthogs,Strange Brew, Beer Guzzling Idiots and JP Neil missing. Food and drinks served while we discussed changes for the 2013 season. Changes made were: change to MyFantasyLeague.com from CBSsportsline, Lower championship from 175.00 to 150.00 and lower 2nd place from 100.00 to 75.00. Raise the division winners to 325.00 and wild card to 225.00.Have IR and Taxi squad lists. Change the points for defensive points against, add Conference record to the tie breaker and change tie breakers for the playoffs. Make lineups due by players game time for regular, playoff and Super Bowl. Trophy's will be for the Champions, Toilet Bowl and Super Bowl only. Champs and Toilet Bowl,only need to be engraved and the Super Bowl trophy to be purchased each year. Secretary will now also be the Super Bowl coordinator. Change points for a safety. Drafting D and ST separately did not pass. FFL89 HOF elected Ladainian Tomlinson, Hines Ward and previous owner Bob Stratton. The 2013 season will begin on March 12,2013 at 3pm CST.

Season is starting as we official will switch to Myfantasyleague.com for our league stats site. Fandraft is set and ready for the 2013 draft. Now we are testing software from Fansoft media, Draft order. This is a lottery type draft order selector, computer generated. We'll see how it works and how the league likes and excepts or declines it's use for our draft. 6/13/2013, Just received a call that Bob Stratton had died in a auto accident. I worked with Bob and he was a true friend. Bob was a original owner in 1989 and left the league after the 1998 season. The league elected Bob to the FFL89 HOF in March 2013. His family, friends and I will miss him allot.  Danny Parrott, Sticky Fingers has decided to leave this year. Danny was in the league for 13 years. He leaves as the record holder for winning 4 Super Bowls. Wished he would have stayed. The first day of Mini camp we have a new owner to take over Sticky Fingers. He is Adam Ottmar.  He becomes the 58th owner to be apart of FFL89. Adam has changed the team name to LA Warlords. The draft was held on August 25th at the Village Pub in North Riverside. Food: Italian Beef, sausage and peppers and pasta. Some problems at the start of the draft that we corrected and the draft ran smooth from then on. The lowest protected player list in 6 years.The Fandraftweb again  worked well for the owners not present. Owners were Young Guns, Warthogs and LA Warlords. Strange Brew had to work and came later in the draft. Owners present was 9. Some problems uploading the draft to the site but it was corrected later. Allot of prep for the draft and its over it seems in minutes. Planning for the 2014 draft and getting ready for the season to begin. The season has ended with week 14. Division winners are Strange Brew(W),Shamrocks(S),Beer Guzzling Idiots(E) and Texans(N). Wild Cards were McGibblets and Towering Inferno. Season's best record is Strange Brew with an 11-3-0 record and scored the most points,1415. For the first time ever the division winners have a common problem. Last name Stasch. Toilet Bowl teams are Young Guns, JP Neil,LA Warlords, Bruise Brothers,Lynx and Warthogs. First award goes to the Lynx. EHTA 58 transactions. Ed Hayes would be proud. Championship weeks have ended. 1st - Shamrocks, 2nd - Strange Brew, 3rd - McGibblets and 4th - Towering Inferno. Toilet Bowl Warthogs beat LA Warlords. Warthogs scored a record 197 points with the help of 99 points from Jamaal Charles. Only problem, Warthogs on a bye. The 2013 season has come to an end. Shamrocks win Super Bowl XXIV with 377 points. Warthogs 328 points and Lynx with 318 points. Now we get ready for the banquet and preparing for the 2014 season. Before the banquet Mike S. decided to end his run and will be leaving the league. 25 years. Now we have a new owner but who has been with the league since 1995. Marc L. will take over the Bruise Brothers for the 2014 season.The 2013 season has officially ended with the banquet. Food was great, league business handled and trophy's and money were handed out. New rules for the 2014 season are: Rename the league Championship trophy to Bob Stratton Memorial Trophy,rename the taxi squad to practice squad, allow roster moves all season, owners at the draft will announce draft picks and then it will be posted on the draft board,suspended players can be moved to practice squad if NFL team receives a  player exemption, change playoff flex players to RB, WR, and TE only, and allow SB lineups to be viewed by teams when the first game of the week has started. Rules being worked on but not yet passed, change schedule from 14 to 13 weeks, weeks 14-16 playoffs and week 17 not used. Will be voted on before the 2014 draft. New draft setup order using players ADP. Matt, Mark S. and George will come up with a plan in the next 60 days. Final change will be returning to CBS sports for the stat site. The 2014 season has officially begun.
